Effective Date: 13 March 2026

Welcome to Statements-Bridge.co.uk (“the Platform,” “the Website,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, communication channels, and related services. By accessing or using the Platform, you (“User,” “Client,” or “you”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not accept any part of them, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Corporate Identity

Statements-Bridge.co.uk is operated by CoStudy OÜ, a company incorporated under the laws of Estonia. The Website provides a digital platform that facilitates connections between Users and independent Tutors. The Website itself does not employ Tutors and acts solely as a technology intermediary.

2. About the Platform

Statements-Bridge.co.uk is an educational guidance platform serving users in the United Kingdom and internationally. The Platform connects learners with qualified independent Tutors to provide ethical academic guidance, including personal statements, project support, and skill development.

Services are available to learners at various levels, including secondary, undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional education programmes.

2.1 Overview of Learning Support Services

Tutors on the Platform may provide guidance including:

  • Clarifying the requirements, structural expectations, and assessment criteria of personal statements
  • Assisting with idea development, research frameworks, and methodology
  • Reviewing drafts and offering feedback on clarity, logic, structure, and cohesion
  • Providing constructive guidance to enhance analytical and writing skills
  • Demonstrating proper citation, referencing, and academic standards.

All materials, examples, and explanations provided are for personal educational use only. You must not submit them as your own work, in compliance with academic integrity and the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 restrictions.

2.2 Service Provision

Services may be provided through:

  • Direct messaging via mutually agreed third-party applications (e.g., WhatsApp)
  • Email exchanges, including document sharing
  • Secure cloud-based platforms for safe sharing of materials.

Communication is managed according to our Privacy Policy, in compliance with UK GDPR and PECR.

2.3 Timelines

Service provision times are agreed before services begin and depend on:

  • Complexity, length, and subject matter of your project
  • Required research or preparation
  • Tutor availability and time zone considerations.

If delays occur, we will notify you promptly and agree on revised schedules.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Use the services ethically and solely for lawful educational purposes
  • Provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding your project, including deadlines and specific requirements
  • Refrain from submitting any materials provided by Tutors on the Platform as your own academic work
  • Comply with all relevant academic integrity rules
  • Maintain respectful and professional communication with Tutors and support staff
  • Promptly report any suspected misuse or unauthorised use of the Platform.

Failure to comply may result in account suspension or termination.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Acceptable Use

You may:

  • Use materials, examples, and guidance provided by Tutors as study aids
  • Apply Tutor feedback to strengthen your own work
  • Draw upon Tutor insights to develop academic skills.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Submit reference materials or Tutor-provided content as your own work
  • Copy, sell, redistribute, or publicly display any materials produced in collaboration with a Tutor
  • Use the Platform’s content, branding, or intellectual property for commercial purposes without express written permission.

4.3 Ownership and Licence

All content on the Platform remains the intellectual property of CoStudy OÜ unless explicitly stated otherwise. By using the Platform, you are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use such content solely for personal educational purposes.

Unauthorised or unethical use may result in:

  • Permanent suspension from the Platform
  • Legal action to prevent misuse and recover damages
  • Reporting to academic institutions if necessary.

5. Age Requirement

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform independently
  • Users under 18 may only access services with verified parental or guardian consent
  • If you suspect a minor is using the Platform without consent, please contact [email protected]. Any personal data linked to an unauthorised minor will be promptly deleted.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept secure payment through:

  • Major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • PayPal
  • Bank transfers (in select cases).

All payments are processed via encrypted systems.

6.2 Payment Conditions

Full payment is required before any services commence. Prices are calculated based on:

  • Academic level
  • Project complexity
  • Deadline requirements.

Incomplete or failed payments may result in delayed service or automatic cancellation of your request.

The moment of contractual acceptance occurs when the User confirms their request and payment is successfully processed. This forms a binding contract under these Terms and English law.

6.3 Transparent Pricing

  • All prices are displayed in GBP (£).
  • The total price will be presented before you submit payment.
  • Pricing includes an 11% platform service fee, detailed in the request summary.
  • Any adjustments due to changes in your requirements will be communicated before additional charges are applied.

The Platform complies with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 by providing clear pre-contract information on total price and cancellation rights.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 General Rule

Refunds are only available in specific circumstances where the service provided materially fails to meet the agreed instructions. Eligible reasons include:

  • Guidance that does not correspond to the instructions submitted
  • Duplicate or erroneous payments
  • Significant delays exceeding the agreed timeframe
  • Proven instances of plagiarism in Tutor-provided guidance
  • Failure to assign a suitably qualified Tutor to the request.

If the service has not yet been assigned, an 80% refund of the request value may be issued.

Refunds are not automatic and are assessed based on objective standards of service provision and adherence to instructions.

7.2 Eligibility Criteria

To request a refund, the User must submit a refund request within 14 calendar days of service provision, unless the service has not yet been assigned, in which case a request may be submitted up to 3 business days after payment.

  • Method: Requests must be sent via email to [email protected].
  • Supporting Information: Include a detailed description of the issue, relevant request ID, and any supporting documentation (e.g., plagiarism report).

7.3 Service Completion Definition

A service is considered completed once the Tutor has provided the guidance according to the agreed scope and the User has received the materials. Completion is distinct from revision requests: Users must first request revisions. If revisions do not resolve the issue, a refund may be requested.

Requests for refunds after the User has formally approved the provided service are generally not eligible, except in exceptional cases such as demonstrable plagiarism or non-performance.

7.4 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be granted in cases including, but not limited to:

  • Services fully provided and formally approved by the User
  • Services performed according to User instructions
  • Fraudulent activity, policy violations, or abusive behaviour
  • High plagiarism or AI-detection percentages arising from false positives
  • Late payment submission by the User
  • Failure to provide complete instructions, required resources, or specialised sources.

7.5 Partial Refunds

Partial refunds, if approved, are calculated based on the percentage of service already provided and platform administrative fees. Refunds are applied proportionally to milestones, e.g., Tutor assignment vs. completed guidance.

7.6 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method. Bank or payment provider processing times may vary and are beyond the Company’s control.

7.7 Abuse & Fraud Prevention

The Company reserves the right to deny refunds in cases of repeated abuse, bad faith, or fraudulent claims. Abuse is determined using objective criteria, including prior refund history, documented violations of Terms, or demonstrably false claims.

7.8 Consumer Protection Savings Clause

  • Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or CCR 2013.
  • All non-waivable rights are fully preserved.

7.9 Interaction with Dispute Resolution

Refund disputes are subject to the Platform’s internal complaints and ADR procedures.

  • Users are encouraged to seek informal resolution with support within 7 business days of raising a dispute.
  • If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to ADR schemes or arbitration as described in Section 13 of these Terms.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate or use trusted third-party services to facilitate payments, communication, and storage. These may include, but are not limited to: PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Drive, Dropbox, WhatsApp, and analytics providers.

By using the Platform, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers. We only employ your personal data as necessary to process payments, communicate with Tutors, or provide services.

We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third-party providers beyond these purposes.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 Data Controller

The data controller is CoStudy OÜ, registered in Estonia. Our contact for data protection matters is [email protected].

9.2 Lawful Basis

We process personal data under the following UK GDPR lawful bases:

  • Performance of a contract (processing request details and providing services)
  • Consent (for marketing communications)
  • Legitimate interests (ensuring platform security and service quality).

9.3 User Rights

Under UK GDPR, Users have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of their personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of personal data (subject to legal obligations)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if data protection rights are violated.

9.4 Marketing Communications

We will only send marketing communications with your consent. All marketing messages include an unsubscribe mechanism allowing you to opt out at any time.

10. Consumer Cancellation Rights

As a UK consumer, you have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days from the day of request confirmation, under the CCR 2013.

  • You may waive this right by agreeing to early performance of services within the 14-day period (for example, when a Tutor begins work immediately upon payment).
  • To exercise cancellation, contact [email protected] with your request details.
  • Refunds for valid cancellations will be processed within 14 days to the original payment method.

This right is in addition to other statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Service Model and Tutor Status

Tutors providing services via the Platform are independent contractors. They are responsible for determining how they provide guidance, including methods, timing, and content, within the scope agreed with the User.

The Platform does not employ Tutors, nor does it act as their agent. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or joint venture relationship between Users, Tutors, or the Website.

10.2 Platform Role

The Platform operates as a technology intermediary facilitating connections between Users and Tutors. While we provide tools, communication channels, and secure payment processing, we do not control the actual provision of educational services.

11. Academic Integrity and Compliance

All support provided is intended for educational purposes only. Users must not submit Tutor-provided materials or examples as their own work.

The Platform strictly prohibits actions that would contravene the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022, including producing or submitting work on behalf of Users. Tutors may provide guidance, feedback, and methodological support, but Users retain full responsibility for the originality of their submissions.

11.3 User Accountability

Users must adhere to institutional academic integrity rules. Any misuse of guidance, including plagiarism or misrepresentation of content, may result in suspension or termination of Platform access.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Platform and Tutor Liability

While we strive to ensure high-quality services, the Website acts solely as an intermediary. Tutors provide guidance independently, and the Website does not guarantee academic outcomes.

12.2 Exclusions and Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • You retain the right to receive services that are as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose;
  • Liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence cannot be excluded;
  • Fraudulent misrepresentation cannot be limited.

12.3 Indirect or Consequential Loss

The Website is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, or data, except where prohibited by law.

12.4 Fairness and Transparency

All limitations of liability are drafted in accordance with UK law, ensuring they are fair, transparent, and reasonable under the CRA 2015.

13. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Users may raise complaints via [email protected]. The Website aims to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly.

If a complaint cannot be resolved internally, Users may access an ADR scheme approved under the ADR Regulations 2015. Information on applicable ADR providers will be provided upon request.

Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to pursue claims in your home UK jurisdiction, including Small Claims Court.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their local UK courts, in addition to any remedies under these Terms.

15. Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically due to legal, technical, or operational changes.

  • The most current version will always be available on the Platform with the updated effective date.
  • Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
  • Users will be notified of material changes affecting their rights or obligations, in line with CCR 2013 requirements.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder of the Terms will remain in full force and effect.

16.2 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any request confirmations, constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Website regarding the use of the Platform.

16.3 No Waiver

Failure by the Website to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.

17. Communication

All official communications, including notices, invoices, or dispute correspondence, should be sent to: [email protected].
